01. Understanding How Your Audience Thinks
There are four learning styles in which adults gain and retain information: (1) visual, (2) auditory, (3) kinesthetic, and (4) reading/writing). We know that adults prefer a multi-modal approach to learning, which is why we integrate adult learning principles into all of our design work. The research is clear that our brain prefers images over text. Adult learners often only remember 10% of information presented orally, whereas that number jumps by about 65% when simple images are incorporated. This principle has vast implications for preaching, announcements, events, and discipleship. Let us help you make a deeper impact!
